5th Mass Spectrometry School
Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, Niš, 5th July – 9th July 2010
Lecturers: Jean Claude Tabet, Sandra Alves, Natali Stojiljkovic Financially supported by
Ministry of Science and Technology Development
of Republic of Serbia through Project POPULARIZATION OF SCIENCE IN SERBIA · As with prior Schools, the 5th course was focused on teaching and discussing modern knowledge in MS to advanced graduate students, post-docs and scientists. It was focused on both theoretical and practical aspects of MS. The donated LCQ mass spectrometer (donation of prof. Jean Claude Tabet to FSM) was installed and exercise and practical part of School were performed utilizing it.
· The course program payed tribute to the growing importance of MS in life and environmental sciences from one side and to the general lack of courses in university curricula on the other.
· The Fifth SMS was attended by 40 students, professors and engineers from the University of Niš, University of Belgrade, University of Kragujevac and Ministry of Internal affairs – national criminal forensic center.
